Finding the right product for floors is more complicated than it seems. Humidity, durability, aesthetics, costs, and much more greatly influence the choice decision. The first step to making all decisions accurately is the correct ground study.
The study determines whether the flooring material is suitable for its purpose, the desired design, or the people who use the space. Also, different functions in buildings require dissimilar floor coverings, and these need to be identified. Floors and covering choices designed for a parking lot or warehouse will be very different from those for an office. For example, in areas that are planned to be exposed to harsh conditions, the conditions of the rough ground should be checked by surveying before choosing the floor covering.

Subfloor Preparation

After selecting the floor covering material suitable for the function of the space, a floor study should be made and the suitability of the floor with the selected material and the tile plan should be checked. First of all, the quality of the rough floor screed should be checked and the elevation scan should be done. Consideration should be given to the floor roughness and dusting capacity by the nature of the covering material to be used.  To exemplify, if a flexible floor covering is to be preferred on the floor, the smoothness of the floor as the table surface will widely affect the quality of the application and the service life of the material.
While looking at the quality of the floor rough screed, the relationship of the material to be used on it with the screed is also an important criterion. For instance, if natural wood material will be used with the bonding method, the rough screed must be strong enough to withstand this movement, since the natural material will move.

To control the flatness of the floor, level scanning should be done by taking into account the transitions in the door sills and the materials of different thicknesses to be used together in the same space.
The correct ground survey, which takes into account the covering material and usage conditions, is a crucial start in determining the quality of the application. Choosing high-quality floor covering materials is not the only criterion that determines the service life of the material. Using the right material with the correct application is a holistic study.

Requirements

Preliminary studies should be carried out in light of the data obtained as a result of the ground survey. There are repair mortars, epoxy-based reinforcing chemicals, and floor-leveling screeds that provide solutions for many different needs. If necessary, the floor screed should be made ready for application by taking support from these materials.

Before applying your flooring, your floor is free of dirt, dust, oil and paint. Also must be dry, left clean and free of residues. The humidity level of the floor and the ambient temperature conditions must be suitable for the application.
Choosing the right floor covering starts with the right floor survey. This first step is vital to avoid splitting, creaking, uncomfortable or uneven floor coverings. Appropriate flooring will serve as a strong foundation for your new flooring, ensuring its longevity.
