The Open Door Architecture Festival, organized by the Arkitera Architecture Center, continues this year with the support of Unigen.

The Open Door Architecture Festival, which aims to bring Istanbul's built heritage to the attention of city residents and allows access to buildings that are normally not open to the public, will be held from October 16 to 23, 2024.

Those who want to get to know the cultural and architectural fabric of the city more closely can register for the tours.

Would You Like to Be a Narrator at the Festival?

The tours, for which there are a limited number of spots, will be conducted by narrators who are students or graduates of architecture, urban and regional planning, interior architecture, and landscape architecture departments of universities.

Requirements for Narrators

  • Aged between 20-25.
  • Third or fourth-year students / graduates of architecture, urban and regional planning, interior architecture, or landscape architecture departments of universities, or those currently pursuing a master's degree.
  • Residing in Istanbul and available between October 31 - November 7.
  • Interested in Istanbul and its history, and enjoy researching.
  • Possess strong verbal communication and organizational skills.

How to Apply?

Those who meet the above requirements can apply by sending their resume, which includes their contact information, along with a maximum 1-minute introduction video of themselves to acikkapi@arkitera.com by the evening of Monday, August 19, 2024.

Applications will be evaluated by Arkitera and Unigen, and the selected narrators will be contacted.
